Canada, a democracy, can easily be compared to both Britain and the United States. The most notable difference between Canada and the States are the titles given to their head of state, Canada adopted the term Prime Minister from Britain while the United States adopted President as the title for their government. |

There have been twenty individuals that have served in the role of Prime Minister since Confederation in 1867. Each individual contributed greatly to the development of the Canadian culture and our current position within the industrialised world. Sadly, most of the Prime Ministers become forgotten as the years go by.
There are some that will always stand out in the memory of the public,
but it is important to remember all of the leaders that helped shape Canada.
